The Best Places to Get a Luxury Beauty Treatment in Brighton, According to a Local Editor
Alice Hartwell
Looking to get a facial or massage? Book into one of these studios and spas.
As a Brighton-based beauty editor, I’ve spent plenty of time working my way through the city’s spas, treatment rooms and beauty studios. From grand heritage hotels to tucked-away independent spaces, there’s no shortage of places to book in for a massage or facial—and I’m always keen to discover somewhere new.
If you’re a fellow local in search of a new beauty spot, or you’re just stopping by for a seaside visit, here’s a few of the best luxury Brighton spas and studios I’d genuinely recommend. (Go on, you deserve it.)
The Best Places for a Luxury Beauty Treatment in Brighton
Just off Brighton’s Regency Square sits No. 124 by Guesthouse—a boutique hotel that’s been firmly on locals’ radar (mine included). Hidden within, you’ll find Field Trip Spa, one of the city’s most thoughtfully designed wellness spaces.
Don’t expect the usual spa circuit of pools and saunas. Instead, Field Trip focuses on exceptional treatments in beautifully considered surroundings. Think deeply restorative massages and some of the warmest, most attentive therapists you’ll come across.
What I love most about the treatments here is the attention to the smallest details. From heated neck pillows to warm towels, every element is designed to help you switch off completely. I’ve visited twice already, and I’m planning my third. Next on my list? The Copper Cove bath and massage experience. Perfect for a couple’s treat or for some downtime with a friend.
One of the newest additions to Brighton’s beauty scene, TGB Spa offers a welcome dose of luxury to the heart of West Street. Step inside, and the elegant interiors make it feel worlds away from the bustle of one of the city’s busiest streets
I’ve visited for both a massage and a pedicure, and each experience has been equally impressive. The team are warm and attentive, while the treatments themselves are expertly delivered. It’s the kind of place that manages to feel both polished and peaceful.
Ok, so this one isn’t technically in Brighton. But in my opinion, the best beauty treatments are always worth travelling for. (And Studio SHY is more than worth a 20-minute train ride to Lewes.)
Housed in a beautifully designed contemporary space, Studio SHY brings together a collective of talented practitioners under one roof. Whether you’re after a manicure, permanent makeup, acupuncture or a new piercing, there’s a specialist here for just about every treatment.
My recommendation? Book in to see Elise for a lymphatic drainage facial. You’ll leave looking sculpted, glowing, and, for want of a better word, snatched.
As someone with breakout-prone skin, I’m incredibly selective about where I book a facial. I want to know I’m in the hands of someone who truly understands skin. Who has the expertise, technology and products to deliver results, not just a relaxing hour or so.
Naomi Spurr does exactly that. Her holistic facials combine high-performance technology with cruelty-free skincare, all from the peaceful setting of her beautiful home studio. You’ll leave with a brighter, healthier complexion and a weightless, floating-on-a-cloud feeling.
When you think of luxury in Brighton, The Grand Hotel is likely one of the first places that comes to mind. It’s been a landmark on the seafront since 1864, defining elegant stays in the city for well over a century—and its spa is no exception.
Open to both hotel guests and day visitors, L. Raphael Beauty Spa & Wellness is ideal if you’re craving a traditional spa experience—plush robes and all. The treatment menu features a selection of indulgent facials and body therapies, and you can make a proper day of it with afternoon tea upstairs in the hotel before heading home.
