The Best Workwear Brands To Shop This Autumn
Bianca Alleyne
Our editors have found some of the best workwear for women this autumn.
There’s something about September that makes us want to sharpen a pencil, buy a new notebook and, if we’re honest, overhaul our entire work wardrobe. Blame the back-to-school hangover.
There has been a shift in what is acceptable office attire with hybrid working. Few of us wear a full suit five days a week anymore. The hybrid week asks for pieces that can take a 9am presentation, a working lunch and a dash to drinks without an outfit change. That means relaxed tailoring in proper fabrics, shirts that look as good untucked as tucked, and knits soft enough to feel like a cheat while still reading as polished.
It also means buying fewer, better things. In my opinion, the best workwear works for multiple occasions–those pieces you reach for without thinking, that still look sharp in three years’ time.
Whether you’re in the office full-time or just dressing the top half for Zoom, here’s the workwear we’ll be wearing on repeat.
